Mrs. Moro had the best idea. She took this jar and filled it with M&Ms.
She then called the students to her back table to make their estimations on the amount of candy in the jar. We told them the closest guesser would get all the M&Ms.
The anticipation was too much for some students! The winners!!
You guys will be seeing more and more pictures of your children on our blog. I have downloaded a new app on my phone that gives me the ability to upload photos and videos directly to our blog! I'm so excited!!
Every student has their own set of sight word cards. When they get the word correct, I put a little dot under it. They love to watch the amount of dots add up on their cards!
This is a math game we use to practice our addition and subtraction. Everyone starts with their "train" of 10 cars. The purpose of the game is to make your train disappear completely by rolling the minus number (if you roll the addition numbers, then you add more cars to your train).
This age is the most rewarding grade level to teach!! They progress so rapidly and are always eager to learn. My students LOVE to read all the time and it makes me so happy!! This is the best part of my job (besides the constant hugs and never-ending compliments).
