Step 1: Collect all materials and observe like a scientist.
Step 2: Make your prediction on whether light will/will not shine through each object.
Step 3: Turn off the lights and turn on the flashlight (I think this was the best part for the students. We had all the shades pulled down on the windows and it was "super dark" in our room)!
Step 4: Perform experiment together and fill in the correct answer.
Step 5: Compare your prediction with the actual results.
We had blast being scientists for the morning! We tied this in with our lesson on groundhogs and shadows.
